GRYPHON CBSUA CHAPTER HOLDS MEMBERSHIP TRAINING CAMP

The Gryphon Bicol R5 CBSUA Chapter put on an importantly triumphant Membership Training Camp from February 21 to 23, 2025, at the CBSUA-Pili Campus Social Hall. The event was held to equip potential members with important emergency response skills.

The participants underwent a number of aspirant profiling processes and several important sign checks. The following day included physical exercises, along with lectures on bandaging, splinting, first aid, and long board management, led by Lcdr. Erlyn Ann Galang and Lcdr. Fatima N. Regulano.

The camp concluded with lectures on MCI management and triage, Basic life support for lay rescuers, and CPR return demonstration, which were led by Cdr. Dennis L. Mangubat, EMT-B.

A Simultaneous Exercise (SIMEX) then occurred, with the fundamental purpose of carefully assessing the skills of those involved when faced with actual situations.

The training camp strengthened the Gryphon Bicol R5 CBSUA Chapter’s promise to develop qualified emergency personnel. | Report and photos from Karl Jason Collat
