The CBSUA College of Economics and Management, in partnership with the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), conducted a training seminar-workshop titled “Business Correspondence: Improvements in Workplace Communication Towards a More Progressive Organization” on April 11, 2025. The event was held at BISCAST, Naga City, in collaboration with the San Isidro Development Cooperative (SIDECO) and the Zonta Club of Naga and Camarines Sur.
The training aimed to equip participants with essential skills in writing effective business correspondence.
The activity featured Dr. Mary Ann P. Briones, Activity Leader, who gave a comprehensive refresher on topics such as the Introduction to Business Correspondence, Parts of Business Letters, Letter Styles, Principles of Effective Written Communication, Major Types of Business Correspondence, and Types of Business Letters.
Following the lecture, a brief workshop was conducted where participants were actively engaged. They were divided into groups and tasked with writing a specific type of letter, which was then presented and critiqued.
This successful collaborative training workshop emphasized the value of clear, concise, and professional written communication.
