The four-day internal audit at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) concluded successfully today, March 14, 2025, with a hybrid closing program attended by top management, campus administrators, internal auditors, document controllers, and process owners from all four CBSUA campuses.
The internal audit, which took place from March 11 to March 14, 2025, served as a crucial step in preparing the university for its upcoming external audit in April 2025, aimed at recertifying CBSUA’s compliance with the ISO Environmental Management System (EMS) 14001:2015.
Dr. Allan Del Rosario, Pili Campus-Campus Administrator, addressed the attendees during the program and emphasized the importance of collaboration and cooperation in maintaining the university’s commitment to quality management systems. He encouraged everyone to seek guidance and support from the Quality Assurance Office (QAO) and internal auditors as the university prepares for the external audit. “Let’s work together to make this a successful recertification process,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to ensuring that CBSUA continues to meet the rigorous standards of the ISO 14001:2015 certification.
With the external audit set for next month, CBSUA is poised to continue its leadership in environmental management in higher education, with a clear commitment to enhancing its sustainability practices and promoting eco-friendly initiatives in the years to come.
