The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)-University Alumni Office hosted a university-wide webinar titled “Charting Your Career Path,” on June 13, 2025, focusing on stress and anxiety management, professional development, gender equality in the workplace, and job hunting.
University Director Prof. Josephine A. Red opened the event, emphasizing the importance of aligning career choices with personal goals and values. Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Emerson N. Bergonio encouraged students to focus on self-improvement and career readiness.
The webinar featured lectures by Prof. Ma. Rosario A. Garol on stress management and career building, highlighting the value of continuous learning, emotional resilience, and aligning work with purpose. Mr. Luigi Lorenzo N. Razal guided students on job application strategies, interview preparation, and building professional networks, while Department of Migrant Workerโs Ma. Suzzette A. Castro discussed legal pathways for overseas employment and how to avoid illegal recruitment. Dr. Glenn E. Redecilla tackled gender biases in the workplace and emphasized the need for inclusive environments where everyone can thrive regardless of gender identity or orientation.
CBSUA alumni also shared inspiring success stories. Food Technology graduate Twinnee Banares-Pante and DepEd Principal IV Hon. Imelda Bermejo Albero recounted their professional journeys, underscoring the importance of perseverance, service, and lifelong learning.
