The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) maintains strong linkages with its local and international partners, continuously creating opportunities for its students and faculty members. One key collaboration is its partnership with Belgian universities, the Province of West Flanders, Global Minds, and its allied organizations in Belgium, as well as universities in the northern provinces and Bicol Region of the Philippines during the Intensive Program 2025 (IP2025) on February 9-23, 2025, in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela.
Through the Intensive Program (IP), this partnership has given students and faculty an avenue to collaborate on development-relevant topics, specifically on the 3 central themes: sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, and climate change since 2019.
This year, CBSUA sent six (6) student participants and two (2) faculty coaches to represent the university in the Intensive Program 2025. The institutionโs consistent participation in IP shows its continued support and commitment to the partnership and to offer students an opportunity for collaborative interventions with local and international students and communities/industries. This yearโs IP is generally being hosted and organized by the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), in cooperation with Isabela State University (ISU) and Saint Maryโs University (SMU). Just like in previous Intensive Programs (IPs), seven (7) pre-identified community/industry cases, each presenting specific challenges and problems, are being addressed by participating students in collaboration with their assigned faculty coaches.
IP2025 is being participated in by students and faculty coaches from Howest University of Applied Sciences, VIVES University of Applied Sciences from Belgium, Nueva Vizcaya State University, Isabela State University (ISU), Saint Maryโs University (SMU), Bicol University (BU), Camarines Norte State College (CNSC), and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA). To foster inclusivity and ensure that CBSUA is well represented, students were selected from all four (4) campuses of the university.
CBSUA Pili Campus is represented by, Ms. Ashera Diana Delos Santos and Ms. Dimanche Sales, for the Calabanga Campus, Ms. Angelica V. Socito, Jessa Mae Abayon for the Pasacao Campus, and Mr. Esil John Lubayan and Mr. Mark B. Enesio for Sipocot Campus. Dr. Vladimir R.
