CBSUA-SIPOCOT CONDUCTS DUY’AP EXTENSION TRAINING FOR LGU CABUSAO

The CBSUA – College of Information Technology successfully conducted a training program titled “DUYAP TECHTalk” on April 12, 2025, at Computer Laboratory 2, CBSUA Sipocot Campus. This community extension initiative provided relevant training that enhances participants’ knowledge and skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The training was held under the leadership of Prof. Maria Liwayway P. Matamorosa, with Mr. Dennis C. Gabon as the training proponent. Barangay officials from the Municipality of Cabusao actively participated in the program, which sought to empower local leaders with practical ICT skills essential for governance and community development.

The event began with the registration of participants, managed by Ms. Rysha Andaya and Ms. Sherlyn Cea. This was followed by an opening prayer and the singing of the national anthem, with Prof. Matamorosa presiding. Mr. Gabon then warmly welcomed the participants, emphasizing the significance of the training in fostering digital literacy among local government officials.

The first session was conducted by Mr. James Moratalla, who discussed essential skills in setting up Google accounts, navigating the Gmail interface on a desktop, composing and managing emails, organizing messages, and implementing email security measures.

The second session, facilitated by Ms. Alexa Moradilio, focused on the fundamentals of Google Forms. Her discussion included a step-by-step guide on creating basic forms, customizing settings, collecting responses from target respondents, and sharing form links efficiently.

The final session, led by Mr. Kenneth Marquez, focused on the use of Google Drive. He guided participants on how to effectively upload, organize, and manage files and folders within the platform for easy access and retrieval of documents. Mr. Marquez also demonstrated how to create, share, and collaboratively edit files using Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides—tools that enhance teamwork, productivity, and communication. The closing remarks were delivered by Mrs. Michelle Regalla, one of the faculty members and extensionists involved in the training.

The DUY’AP TECHTalk training marks another milestone in CBSUA-Sipocot’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities through relevant and responsive ICT education. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘑𝘰𝘺 𝘈. 𝘊𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘴𝘰
