CBSUA RAC, MAGO CONDUCT TRAINING WORKSHOP ON STINGLESS BEE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAgO) of LGU Pili, in partnership with the CBSUA Regional Apiculture Center (CBSUA RAC), conducted a training workshop on December 17, 2024, at the Regional Apiculture Center in San Jose Pili, Camarines Sur, aimed at empowering local farmers and members of the Pili Union of Stingless Bee Owners (PUSO).

The workshop provided participants with skills to commercialize stingless bee products and by-products, such as honey, pollen, propolis-based cosmetics, and natural remedies.

Focused on creating sustainable markets, the training covered product development, from harvesting to marketing, and included practical sessions on using new equipment like pellet machines and dehumidifiers. Participants also crafted business plans and received feedback to help expand their enterprises.

With continued support from MAgO, the initiative aims to transition research into the marketplace, promoting economic growth and self-sufficiency for local farmers. | 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘑𝘉 𝘌𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶
