The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture – Pili Campus continues to make waves in the education sector as two distinguished faculty members from the College of Development Education take center stage in a groundbreaking national initiative.
Dr. Myra Luz M. Homillano and Dr. Ludivico B. Homillano have been invited by the Philippine Normal University through the Research Center for Teacher Quality to participate in the development of the Learning Resource Package for the MATATAG Curriculum of the Department of Education.
The dynamic duo crafted lesson exemplars that will serve as the educational backbone for students nationwide. Dr. Myra Luz focused her expertise on Life Science materials for Grades 7 and 9, while Dr. Ludivico brought his chemistry prowess to Grade 10 topics. Their dedication took them from the prestigious Heritage Hotel in Manila to intensive writing workshops at the Ramada Hotel in Binondo.
What makes their involvement truly significant is that the LRPs they helped developโcomplete with lesson exemplars and student worksheets for Grades 7 to 10โare already being piloted in schools across the country. These materials are serving as essential stopgaps while the Department of Education works to finalize and distribute new textbooks aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum.

As one of the select Teacher Education Institutions chosen for this prestigious project, our campus continues to prove that great minds and dedication can truly transform the future of Philippine education.
