The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) participated in a voter education seminar held earlier today, April 7, at Mariner’s Polytechnic Colleges Foundation, Inc. in Canaman. The event was spearheaded by Tabang Bikol Movement in partnership with COMELEC Region V, aiming to raise public awareness and encourage proactive participation in safeguarding the electoral process through transparent and automated elections.

A highlight of the seminar was the discussion led by COMELEC Chair Nelson Celis and representatives from the Education and Information Department (EID) Central Office, focusing on voter education and the use of the Automated Counting Machines (ACMs), which will be utilized for the first time in the May 2025 elections. To support the lecture, two demo units of the ACM were showcased and used for hands-on demonstrations.

Following the seminar, a press conference was held at New JaimEliza, Baras, Canaman, providing an opportunity for the public and media to raise questions about the upcoming automated election process.
