The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) hosted the 2025 Philippine Physics Olympiad (PPO) Qualifying Examination and the Philippine Physics Junior Challenge (PJPC) for the Bicol Region on January 18, 2025. The event, organized by the Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas, was held at the College of Development Education (CDE).

A total of 32 students from the Philippine Science High School – Bicol Region Campus participated in the competition. The examinations were overseen by a team of dedicated facilitators, including faculty members from CDE, members of the Science Teachers Active Regents (STAR), and the pioneering members of the CBSUA Robotics Club, ensuring the event ran smoothly.

The top performers from the PPO qualifying exam will move on to compete in the National Finals, where they will face off against the brightest students from across the country. Meanwhile, the PJPC will honor winners in various categories, including overall, area, and regional champions.

The results of the examinations will be announced soon, with participants eagerly awaiting the opportunity to demonstrate their physics expertise on larger, more competitive stages. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘙𝘦𝘺-𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘦
