CBSUA FORGES INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP WITH ANKARA UNIVERSITY

Broadening its international reach, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) officially commenced an academic and research partnership with Ankara University on June 17, 2025. CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi and Ankara University Rector Dr. Necdet Ünüvar inked the memorandum of agreement during the Global Sustainable Development Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.

This partnership reflects CBSUA’s proactive approach to building a robust international network and connecting with leading institutions worldwide. Dr. Naperi highlighted Ankara University’s esteemed reputation, noting, “Ankara University, the first university established in the Republic of Turkey, is widely recognized for its excellent academic programs and strong research background across various disciplines.” He emphasized that “this partnership will undoubtedly benefit not only our students but also our faculty-researchers, aiming to broaden their perspectives, enhance research capabilities, and foster cross-cultural understanding.” This collaboration is a significant step for CBSUA in providing a globally competitive education and fostering a dynamic research environment.

This new academic cooperation protocol establishes a comprehensive framework for collaboration between the two universities in both academic and cultural spheres. This includes sharing academic expertise and experiences to address scientific challenges of mutual interest. The agreement will also facilitate exchanges of academic staff for scientific purposes like lectures, research, and collaborative meetings, and implement student exchange programs in relevant fields. Additionally, the partnership will involve exchanging books, periodicals, and other educational and research materials, along with collaborating on joint research projects and organizing joint scientific meetings in areas of common interest. This multi-faceted approach aims to enrich the educational experience for both students and faculty while contributing to global knowledge creation.

This strategic alliance is expected to open new avenues for academic and scientific advancement. Dr. Naperi anticipates that this collaboration will “lead to innovative solutions for agricultural challenges and contribute to a more interconnected academic community.”
