The College of Veterinary Medicine of CBSUA conducted the AAAWmazing Project: A Seminar on Rabies Awareness, Food Safety, and Hygiene for senior high school students of Pili National High School (PNHS) on March 24, 2025, at Pawili, Pili, Camarines Sur.
The students eagerly listened and participated in the discussions on strengthening rabies prevention, vaccination campaigns, and public education.
A key activity highlight was the โOne Health” approach, which recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Speakers emphasized that while rabies is 100% fatal, it is also 100% preventable through responsible ownership, timely vaccination, and proper food safety practices, all of which contribute to a healthier society.
This initiative was successfully carried out through the efforts of VMPH 161 and VMPH 163 Classes of A/Y 2024-2025, along with Dr. Marie Rachelle Jane C. Mangading, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
This endeavor aimed to encourage everyone to equip participants with knowledge and encourage proactive measures in addressing challenges related to animal health, food security, and disease prevention.
