CBSUA-CDE, ESD LEAD EVALUATION OF MULTI-GRADE MODULES UNDER RISE4MGT PROGRAM

The College of Development Education and Extension Services Division of CBSUA,  successfully conducted the “Initial Presentation and Evaluation of Developed Multi-grade Modules” under the Re-Invigorating Skills in Education for Multi-Grade Teachers (RISE4MgT) Program, today, April 10, at the ESD Farmer’s Training Hall.

From exploring Bikol culture and agricultural practices to hands-on module reviews across key subject areas like Makabansa, Math, English, and GMRC, the event empowered educators with localized and learner-centered teaching tools.

The College of Development Education (CDE) —  and the Extension Services Division of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) successfully spearheaded the “Initial Presentation and Evaluation of Developed Multi-grade Modules”. This activity was led by RISE4MGT program/project leader, Dr. Christopher B. Dacer and his co-project leaders, Ms. Ana Vera Hugo and Ms. Cristia Shiena Amparo-Tubale, in partnership with Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and League of Elementary Educators (LPEE) students and leaders.

The activity gathered faculty members, multi-grade educators, and education stakeholders to assess the relevance and quality of instructional modules specially designed by multi-grade teachers of Pili East and Pili West Disctrict for multi-grade teaching contexts.

An evaluation session of modules for Bikol Culture integration highlighted the importance of local heritage in educational content. Evaluators include Dr, Leopoldo Transona and Dr, Cherry Love Montales.  Meanwhile, the integration of Agricultural Concepts and Practices, with Dr. Melchora Abonal and Dr. Charlie Nacario, emphasized the importance of awareness and promotion of the agriculture industry to the young minds. Participants also engaged in a working lunch, allowing room for collaborative conversations and peer feedback.

The afternoon was dedicated to a Module Evaluation by Subject Area. For Makabansa, evaluators include, Prof. Myleen T. Balderas (CBSUA), Ms. Doris Asaytuno (DepEd) and Ms. Cynthia Anchuelo (DepEd); Mathematics with Prof. Ricardo Yanzon (CBSUA); for English, Mr. John Kelly Alpapara (CBSUA); and GMRC (Good Manners and Right Conduct) with Mr. John Oliver Delantar (CBSUA) and Prof. Mary Grace B. Povoriza. Evaluators used indicators such as clarity of objectives, cultural sensitivity, instructional strategy, and learner engagement.

The activity forms part of CBSUA’s RISE4MGT initiative, which aims to capacitate multi-grade teachers through targeted training and responsive resource development.
