The second session of the “Global Classroom Lecture Series: CBSUA BEED Alumni in Action – Elementary Teaching Across the Globe” was successfully conducted on April 29, 2025, via Zoom from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Sir Bryan Christian Tandog, a proud Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) alumnus of the College of Education – Calabanga Campus, as the featured speaker.
Sir Bryan shared his inspiring journey as a Filipino teacher in Thailand, highlighting his experiences teaching elementary pupils in an international setting. In his talk titled “Teaching in Thailand”, he gave participants a glimpse of Thai school culture, classroom routines, and his personal growth as an educator abroad. His stories reflected the challenges and rewards of teaching in a different country and gave practical insights to CBSUA students who may be considering teaching overseas in the future.
The event opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Jenelyn Aguelo, Dean of the College of Education in Calabanga, who emphasized the value of global exposure in shaping future educators. An inspirational message was delivered by Campus Administrator Jeremy Doloso, who encouraged students to embrace global opportunities with courage and excellence. Ms. Nilda Olores, Program Chairperson of the Elementary Education program in Calabanga, gave the heartfelt closing message.
Dr. Cherry Love B. Montales, Director of the International Relations Office, was also present to support the activity, showing CBSUA’s strong commitment to internationalization and student development.
This second session continues to promote Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education, by connecting BEED students with alumni who serve as role models in global teaching. The stories and lessons shared reaffirm CBSUA’s mission of transforming lives and communities through relevant and responsive education.
The third day of the Global Classroom Lecture Series is scheduled for April 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM via Zoom, continuing the meaningful conversations with CBSUA alumni who are making a difference in classrooms around the world. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘋𝘳. 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴
