30 CSRA STUDENTS START ON-THE-JOB TRAINING AT CBSUA

Thirty students from Colegio de San Rafael Arcangel (CSRA) are set to gain real-world experience through on-the-job training (OJT) at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), starting with an orientation program on February 6, 2025, at the university Ecotel.

The university’s Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) welcomed the students and outlined the terms of the Work Immersion Program. The trainees are senior high school students from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), General Academic Strand (GAS), and Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strands.

During the orientation, Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized CBSUA’s commitment to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment. “The personnel in your assigned offices are dedicated to guiding and supporting you, ensuring a positive and productive experience,” he said.

Ms. Ana Marie A. Del Carmen, Acting-HRMD Officer, introduced the CBSUA Administrative Council and provided an overview of the university, including its programs, facilities, and equipment across its four campuses in Calabanga, Pasacao, Pili, and Sipocot.

Mr. Reymark R. Cleofas, Immersion Coordinator, detailed the responsibilities of CSRA as outlined in the memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the two institutions. He stated that the students will be deployed in two batches: February 10-21, 2025, and February 24-March 7, 2025. “We are very grateful to CBSUA for accommodating our students and providing them with the 80-hour work immersion program mandated by Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 30, series of 2017,” Mr. Cleofas said.

In addition, Ms. Imari Roxas-Salud, representing Campus Administrator Dr. Allan B. Del Rosario, discussed CBSUA’s responsibilities. Furthermore, Ms. Del Carmen also covered OJT responsibilities and the do’s and don’ts for the students’ stay.

Also present were Immersion Coordinator Ms. Angelica Mae A. Coner and other CBSUA HRMDO staff. The university looks forward to a fruitful partnership with CSRA and a successful OJT experience for all the student trainees.
