In a significant boost to its research capabilities, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) today received a vital upright chiller, generously donated by Goldstar Agric-Vet Corporation. The contribution, spearheaded by Hon. Hoover S. Picar, the company’s Operations Manager and concurrent BOR for Private Sector Representative, will directly support the crucial work of the university’s Vaccine Center.
The formal deed of donation was executed between Hon. Picar and CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, today, April 28, 2025 – solidifying said partnership.
The donated Fujidenzo SU140A 14 cu ft upright chiller, featuring a double glass door, precise 7-level temperature control, and a fan-cooled system, is specifically intended for the long-term and secure storage of critical bacterial stocks. This enhanced storage capacity is indispensable for the ongoing and future research initiatives undertaken by CBSUA, particularly within its Vaccine Center, ensuring the integrity and viability of essential biological materials.
Upon accepting the donation, Dr. Naperi expressed his sincere appreciation for Goldstar Agric-Vet’s commitment to CBSUA’s academic and research endeavors. He underscored the direct and positive impact this contribution will have on the quality and reliability of the university’s scientific output, enabling researchers to maintain the integrity of sensitive biological samples with greater confidence.
Meanwhile, Hon. Picar emphasized the pivotal role of collaboration between the private sector and educational institutions in driving scientific advancement.
