Twelve criminology students from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Sipocot Campus were officially deployed for their internship at the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO) today, February 3, 2025. CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi and CSPPO Provincial Director PCol. Virgilio O. Olalia Jr. led the deployment held at Camp Colonel Juan Querubin Miranda, Naga City.
According to Campus Administrator of CBSUA Sipocot, Prof. Rowel M. Castuera, this year’s Criminology Internship Program, which runs from January 28 to May 1, 2025, offers students a comprehensive practical experience within the criminal justice system. Interns will participate in the program every Tuesday and Thursday, including holidays.
Dr. Naperi also served as the guest of honor and resource speaker, sharing his expertise on the importance of Public Safety Education and its role in the community.
A memorandum of agreement (MOA) formalizing the partnership between CBSUA and the CSPPO was also signed. Dr. Naperi and PCol. Olalia Jr. were the signatories, with DPD for Administration PLtCol. Edwin C. Adora and Dean of the CBSUA College of Criminology, Dr. Dionesia R. BeraΓ±a, as witnesses.
