𝐀𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐀 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐈𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐒

Aklan State University (ASU) strengthened its collaborative network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and several other prominent State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Bicol region on January 31, 2025 at the ASU Kalibo Campus.

The MOU outlines a commitment to collaborate on various academic, research, extension, and development initiatives. ASU President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin joined CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi and representatives from other participating institutions in formalizing the agreement. These institutions include Bicol University (BU), Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), Sorsogon State University (SorSU), and Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT).

Also present at the signing ceremony was Dr. Allan B. Del Rosario, Campus Administrator representing CBSUA. The partnership is expected to foster greater collaboration and resource sharing among the institutions, ultimately benefiting students and the wider community. Following the event was the investiture of Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin as the 5th University President of ASU at the Marzon Convention Center.
